1. Create a new web project
   

   mvn archetype:create -DgroupId=[group] -DartifactId=[project name] -DarchetypeArtifactId=maven-archetype-webapp

   It will automatically create a empty web project using Maven as a builder.

2. Build your project into eclipse project (java project)
   

   mvn eclipse:eclipse

   It automatically build eclipse project, so you only import a project using

   import > General > Existing Projects into Workspace

   Select your project and it’s done.

3. Build your project into eclipse project (web dynamic project)
   

   mvn eclipse:eclipse -Dwtpversion=1.0

4. If you have 3rd party jar that not in maven repositories (http://repo1.maven.org/maven2), you can put/install it using
   

   mvn install:install-file -DgroupId=[group id] -DartifactId=[artifact id] -Dversion=[version] -Dpackaging=jar -Dfile=[path that contains the jar file]

5. Test is with jetty web server
   

   mvn jetty:run

   Before you run it, just make sure that inside the pom.xml already contain the

   <plugin>
   <groupId>org.mortbay.jetty</groupId>
   <artifactId>maven-jetty-plugin</artifactId>
   <version>6.0.1</version>
   <configuration>
   <scanIntervalSeconds>10</scanIntervalSeconds>
   </configuration>
   </plugin>

mysqldump -u username -p database_name > file_name.sql

Date and time formats are specified by date and time pattern strings.
